Elliot Landy (who is part of Magnum) took this iconic image of Bob Dylan in 1968.
It was taken on Infrared film. Infrared photography is something that i didn’t know existed until i saw this image. The camera is capable of seeing and capturing more light waves then the human eye. I find this fascinating, a tool we originally used to capture moment in time and document has now exceeded our capabilities of vision. but this is true with adjusting shutter speed so i don’t know why this has fascinated me so much. perhaps its because i’m an avid photoshop user so i presume images like this have been manipulated.
